Hazardous Waste and E-Scrap Collection FREE to Residents Location: Coquina Beach Bayside Parking/Access Road List of items to be collected is provided below. For more information call the Public Works Department at 316-1988.

Residents are encouraged to dispose of solvents, latex and oil base paints, garden pesticides, household chemicals, ammunition, flares, waste oil propane tanks, fluorescent lamps, any mercury containing devices (thermostats, thermometers, float switches from boat bilges), pool chemicals, old gasoline (in gasoline containers), household, auto, and marine batteries. Also being collected are televisions, computer components (printers, scanners, fax machines, CPU’s, keyboards), copiers, video and audio equipment, small household electrical appliances (hair dryers, irons, cell phones, digital cameras, battery chargers). Items NOT accepted are Radioactive (smoke detectors) and Bio-hazardous Materials (sharps/needles). Special accommodations for handicapped persons can be arranged if requested in advance of the collection date by calling Manatee County Utilities Operation Department to speak with Cari at 708-8561. Small businesses that generate a small quantity of Hazardous Waste or E-Scrap may bring their waste to this collection for a fee. Contractors will be on site to collect the fee for disposal.
