THE MANATEE COUNTY LANDFILL WILL NO LONGER BE ACCEPTING ELECTRONIC SCRAP FROM BUSINESS/COMMERCIAL HAULERS.

What is E-Scrap?

E-Scrap is consumer electronic equipment that contains materials such as lead, cadmium, mercury, and arsenic. These hazardous materials do not present a problem when in operation, but when discarded, they pose an environmental threat.

The Landfill's E-Scrap Program offers commercial haulers the opportunity to arrange in-county disposal twice a year. The following items are examples of common electronic scrap: TV's, VCR's, ALL COMPUTER EQUIPMENT, DVD's, CELL PHONES, COPIERS, STEREO's, ETC.
