Drinking Water Quality Report

Since its inception in 1972 the Town of Longboat Key has purchased its potable water from Manatee County, where it is treated for consumption as described in the Drinking Water Quality Summary.

Manatee County, along with the Town of Longboat Key, follows strict guidelines handed down by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) to ensure quality drinking water. The Town of Longboat Key is happy to report that our water does not violate any standards under The Federal Safe Drinking Water Act. The downloadable report summarizes water testing results and requirements from both the Manatee County Utility Department and the Town of Longboat Key Public Works Department.

If there are any questions about the Town’s water supply please call the Longboat Key Public Works Department at 316-1958 extension 224, or Manatee County Health Department at (941) 748-0747.
