Effective immediately, all building and electrical permit applications for dock or boatlift work are required to include a copy of a fully executed contract between the electrical contractor and the building/marine contractor for ALL related electrical work in connection with the project. The contract for electrical work must include all electrical wiring in connection with the proposed project including the feed to the dock, all underground wiring, dock lights, etc., as well as the wiring of the lift itself. Every piece of wire that is run in connection with the proposed project must be covered under the contract. No permit for dock or boatlift work will be issued without a copy of the contract attached to the permit application. The scope of work for the electrical permit will be the work detailed in the contract attached to the permit application. Randy Fowler, Building Official |
