The Bayfront Park Recreation Center is a public recreation facility run by the Town of Longboat Key.  Its goal is to provide affordable, wholesome recreation for Youth, Adults, and Senior citizens.  This includes leisure and recreational sports, organized sports leagues and activities, educational programs, cultural classes and seminars, social functions, and special events for all ages and interests.  We constantly strive to add new and quality programs to better serve the community.

The Recreation Center is closed on the following
holidays, unless special events are scheduled:

• New Year’s Day

• Memorial Day

• July 4th

• Labor Day

• Thanksgiving

• Christmas

The park is open from dawn until dusk, except with special permission.

Our parking lot is located at 4052 Gulf of Mexico Drive.  The building is located directly behind the 7-11, south of the parking lot.

Alcohol is prohibited on the grounds of Bayfront Park without special permission.  Smoking is prohibited inside and underneath the building.  Dogs are not permitted in the park without permission.

Bayfront Park provides the perfect setting for your next birthday party, office picnic, family reunion, or wedding.  Picnic tables are available overlooking the athletic field and playground.  Our newly remodeled building is used for a myriad of purposes, including public service lectures and seminars sponsored by various clubs and area businesses for the community’s welfare.
