When is my utility bill due?
Utility bills are due when rendered. To avoid becoming delinquent, the Finance Department must receive the payment by the last day of the month following the “service to” date on the bill. Once an account becomes delinquent, a penalty of 10% will be assessed on the next month’s bill. If the account is not paid in full by the 15th of the month it is subject to being shut off.
Can I get a credit on my water/sewer when I fill my pool?
No credit is given by the Town when filling a swimming pool. There is no rebate on sewer charges when you fill your pool. The Town has imposed a cap on sewer charges once the water usage reaches 7,000 gallons. Most homes reach this maximum sewer charge with normal monthly usage. Therefore, most of the time there is no noticeable increase in the sewer portion of your bill when you fill your pool.
