WHAT IS THE LONGBOAT LIBRARY?

Longboat Library is a private non-profit organization, staffed and operated entirely by volunteers.

As Longboat grows so does the Library, but only with your help. The library is supported solely by membership fees and by donations of cash and books. Not one cent is levied upon taxpayers by the Town or the County to support the library.

WHAT DOES THE LIBRARY OFFER?

In response to members' needs and wishes the bulk of the library is in recreational reading: mysteries, fiction, non-fiction, biographies, classics and books of local interest.

New books are on loan for one week, regular books and tapes for two weeks. Fees are charged for overdue books and tapes. Renewals are accepted by phone. (941-383-2011)
