NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Please take notice that the Town of Longboat Key will hold a public hearing on the following Ordinance to adopt proposed amendments to the Longboat Key Comprehensive Plan:
ORDINANCE 2013-19
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN COMMISSION OF THE TOWN OF LONGBOAT KEY, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF AMENDMENTS TO POLICIES 1.1.10, 1.1.11 AND TABLE 1 OF THE FUTURE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE TOWN OF LONGBOAT KEY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO ALLOW AN ADDITIONAL STORY OF HEIGHT THROUGH THE FINAL SITE PLAN APPROVAL PROCESS FOR TRC-6 PROPERTIES THAT ARE GRANTED ADDITIONAL TOURISM UNITS THROUGH SECTION 158.180 OF THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE; AMENDING RELATED SECTION IV.D. OF THE SUPPLEMENTAL DATA AND ANALYSIS FOR THE FUTURE LAND USE ELEMENT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
A Public Hearing before the Planning and Zoning Board on the proposal will be held on May 21, 2013, at 9:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, at the Town Commission Chambers, Town Hall, 501 Bay Isles Road, Longboat Key, Florida. All interested persons may appear and be heard with respect to the proposed amendment. Copies of the proposed amendment and related material may be viewed at the Planning, Zoning & Building Department, 501 Bay Isles Road, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. weekdays. Questions may be directed to the Planning, Zoning & Building Department at 316-1966. No verbatim record by a certified court reporter is made of these proceedings. Accordingly, any person who may seek to appeal any decision involving the matters noticed herein will be responsible for making a verbatim record of the testimony and evidence at these proceedings upon which any appeal is to be based (see Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes.).
