Coming in the Fall 2014 the current "dual" collection system will be replaced with a new "single stream" program. A 65-gallon single stream recycle cart will be delivered to residents to place all recyclables in, making it easier to recycle right. Please call Waste Management with your questions and concerns at (941) 753-7591.
Residential recycling is collected on Monday and should be placed at the curb no later than 7:00 a.m. on the day of collection. Condominiums and commercial businesses contract directly with their waste hauler for their recycling needs.
Sometimes recyclables are not picked up because items such as plastic bags, corrugated cardboard or fluorescent light bulbs are placed in the recycle cart.
