How to participate:

Pick up a game sheet at any Town Facility or email events@longboatkey.org to receive a digital game sheet (Starting October 20th).

How it works:

Our game sheet includes photo clues and riddles featuring Town-owned spots and local businesses around Longboat Key. Your mission? Find each location, snap a selfie or photo, and join the fun! It’s a great way to explore Longboat Key — and you might even win a prize!

The Town of Longboat Key is partnering with Walgreens to host a Community-Wide Vaccine Clinic at Town Hall on Monday, October 20, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Free vaccines available for everyone include:

• Flu

• COVID

Vaccines available with Medicare or other insurance coverage include:

• Shingles (Note: A second shot is required between 60–180 days after the first, available at a Walgreens off-island)

• RSV

• Pneumonia

• Tdap (Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Whooping Cough)

What to Bring

Please bring the following to ensure a smooth check-in process:

• A valid photo ID

• Your insurance card, if applicable

• Authorization form (available at the Town Clerk's Office)

No insurance? No problem!
Free vouchers for these vaccines will be provided to uninsured participants.

Learn a life-saving skill during Florida City Week! The Town of Longboat Key invites residents and visitors to a Hands-Only CPR Class.

Date: Tuesday, October 21, 2025
Time: 10:00 AM
Location: North Fire Station, 5490 Gulf of Mexico Drive, Longboat Key, FL

Event Highlights:

• Learn Hands-Only CPR in a quick, easy-to-follow session

• Open to all ages (recommended for adults and teens)

• Gain confidence to help save a life in an emergency

Why attend:

• Hands-Only CPR can double or triple a victim’s chance of survival

• Learn practical skills you can use immediately

Get ready to take the helm — safely! During Florida City Week, the Town of Longboat Key is hosting a “Suddenly in Command” Boaters Class, provided by the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 82.

Keep your personal information safe while celebrating Florida City Week! The Town of Longboat Key is hosting a Drive-Through Shred Event for residents to securely dispose of sensitive documents — no need to leave your car!

Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Location: Town Hall, 501 Bay Isles Road, Longboat Key, FL

Event Highlights:

• Drive-through convenience – stay in your vehicle while your documents are securely shredded

• Free and open to all residents and local businesses

• Quick, safe, and eco-friendly

What to bring:

• Personal and confidential documents you wish to shred (no electronic waste at this event)

• Limit of 5 boxes or bags per vehicle

Protect your information and celebrate our community during Florida City Week!

Help keep Longboat Key beautiful during Florida City Week! The Town of Longboat Key, in partnership with Waste Management, invites residents to participate in a Community Cleanup with multiple convenient services.

Date: Saturday, October 25, 2025
Time: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Location: Town Hall, 501 Bay Isles Road, Longboat Key, FL

Event Highlights:

• Residential Bulk item pick-up throughout the island (must be placed by the curb by 6:00 a.m.)

• E-waste drop-off for electronics and small appliances

• Household hazardous waste drop-off for items like paints, cleaners, and chemicals

• Additional shred event for residents who missed Friday’s drive-through

Why participate:

• Help keep our community clean and safe

• Dispose of unwanted or hazardous items responsibly

• Celebrate Florida City Week by taking care of our island

Tips for attendees:

• Bring items for disposal in clearly labeled boxes or bags

• Follow traffic and safety directions from staff at drop-off points
