The Town of Longboat Key is improving the hurricane re-entry process for greater efficiency and safety.
Re-Entry Tiers:
Decals must be placed on the inside of the driver's side windshield (ensure the VIN is not blocked by the decal, and that the decal is not blocked by window tint).
- Tier 1: Emergency Responders (i.e. Fire, Police, etc.)
- Tier 2 (GREEN decals): Relief workers, food and fuel suppliers, essential personnel (i.e. business owners/operators critical to the recovery effort, healthcare workers, insurance agents, banking professionals, condominium/hotel managers and critical staff)
- GREEN decals are issued through the Fire Chief and Police Chief only
- Tier 3 (RED decals): Residents/property owners, business owners

Re-Entry Decals are only valid for the year in which they are issued.
You may obtain a Tier 3 decal by visiting any of the following Town Departments:
- Police Department (5460 Gulf of Mexico Drive)
- Fire Department (5490 Gulf of Mexico Drive)
- Public Works (600 General Harris Street)
- Planning, Zoning, and Building (501 Bay Isles Road - East Building)
- Town Hall (501 Bay Isles Road - West Building)
Residents/property owners will be required to show proof of residency/ownership (i.e. utility bill, drivers license, deed, rental agreement, etc.)
Business/Essential Workers will be required to provide proof of employment.
