The Finance Department is responsible for administering the financial affairs of the Town and to safeguard, and accurately account, for Town assets.

This department is responsible for preparing the annual Town Budget and Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. This department bills and collects funds due to the Town as well as processing payment of payroll and other expenses owed by the Town. Other duties include completing special financial projects, such as bond issuance, ensure compliance with municipal finance and taxation regulations defined by Florida Statutes and provide timely budgetary and financial data to management, Town Commission and Longboat Key citizens.
